The Birds & the Bees and Some Trees

Allegra, co vaia? This will no longer be an undecipherable
sentence in a foreign language. The students learned about the
fourth official language of Switzerland, which is also one of the
oldest surviving languages in the world. After our language
lesson we headed out for our service learning project.

Lunch Break
"I love food! The ice tea is really sweet!" -David

We headed out to the mountains.
After a steep hike, we spent the afternoon clearing brush to make way for new tree growth.

"From rafting in rivers to hiking Swiss mountains, I have
experienced life-changing moments I will never forget." -Nicole

" I never thought I'd love nature, but the mountains and
waters here in Switzerland leave me speechless. I
never want to leave this beautiful place." - Sunaina
The work was hard but in years to come there will be a thriving forest.
